NEW POWER SUPPLY PROVIDES SINGLE AND DUAL OUTPUTS WITH UP TO 35 V / 6 A PER OUTPUT

New R&S NGA100 Brings Linear Accuracy to The Basic Power Supply Class

Simply providing DC electricity is the purpose of a basic power supply, the piece of test equipment most commonly found on workbenches around the world. TheΒ R&S NGA100, a new series of basic power supplies from Rohde & Schwarz, goes beyond this requirement and brings a performance level and extra functions not usually associated with this instrument class.

NEW POWER SUPPLY PROVIDES SINGLE AND DUAL OUTPUTS WITH UP TO 35 V / 6 A PER OUTPUT

Rohde & SchwarzΒ continues to expand their range of basic power supplies with the new R&S NGA100 series. The R&S NGA100 is available in four models, providing a choice of single and dual outputs with up toΒ 35 V / 6 AΒ per output, orΒ 100 V / 2 AΒ per output. Single output models supply up to 40 W, dual output models up to 80 W power. The dual model outputs can be combined to provide up to 200 V or 12 A.

Rohde & Schwarz has implemented a linear design throughout the output circuits of the R&S NGA100 which significantly improves performance compared to the switched-mode circuits frequently found in basic power supplies. The resulting higher accuracy means engineers can be confident of supplying exactly the right power level without any need for an additional multi-meter. The standard level of read-back resolution, 1 mV / 100 Β΅A, is enhanced for currents under 200 mA to a resolution of 1 Β΅A, ideal to test low current levels typical for IoT applications in standby and sleep mode. The R&S NGA100 also has the necessary dynamic range for the power and current spikes from the same devices when switched to active mode.

While many basic power supplies only output maximum power within a very limited voltage/amperage range, the R&S FlexPower technology provides maximum power for a wide range of combinations, so that a single instrument can support many different applications. No matter which application, users benefit from the clear screen, intuitive user interface, and features like instantaneous statistical functions for maximum and minimum values for power, voltage and current, displayed directly on the screen.
