Summary of BeagleCore Releases Schematics And Gerbers
The BeagleCore project has released two versions of its miniature single-board computer, the BCM1 module and the BCS1 starter kit, following an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign. Both products offer functionality equivalent to the BeagleBone Black but in a smaller form factor. The project is open-source under CC-BY-SA, with gerbers, schematics, footprints, and BOMs available for download.
Parts used in the BeagleCore:
- Beagle Core BCM1 module
- Specially adapted base board
- Gerber files
- Schematics
- Footprint data
- BOM (Bill of Materials)
In July of last year, we talked about the BeagleCore which is a miniature version of the BeagleBone Black. BeagleCore had a Kickstarter in the coming months, but were unable to reach their goal. But it looks like they kept on and have now released the two versions of the BeagleCore, including the gerbers(not the board files).
BEAGLECORE™ is licenced under Creative Commons (CC-BY-SA).
We have therefore published a ZIP-file containing all relevant information on footprint, schematics, BOM and many more for BEAGLECORE™ BCM1 & BCS1.
There are two part numbers to the BeagleCore system.
BCS1
The Beagle Core ™ BCS1 starter kit consists of the Beagle Core ™ BCM1 module as well as a specially adapted base board, on which the module is soldered. In the dimensions and functions in the Beagle Core ™ base board corresponding to the BeagleBone Black. Using an ingenious PIN assignment we provide access to all the functionality of the BeagleBone Black. If you can run your application on a BeagleBone, it also works with the Beagle Core ™ BCS1 Starter Kit, go with your development on the safe side.
You can buy the BCS1 BeagleCore for $149.81/€138,30 from the below link.
Buy the BCS1 BCM1This is the tiny module that can be mated to your design. The Beagle Core ™ BCM1 module is just one-third as large as a conventional BeagleBone Black. Nevertheless, it provides the same level in terms of core functionality. Using an ingenious PIN assignment we provide access to all the functionality of the BeagleBone Black. If you can run your application on a BeagleBone, it also works on a Beagle Core ™ BCM1
